When I returned from our London trip our friends asked me to do a mini family photo shoot outdoors in the snow. I was happy to oblige to practice taking photos of people rather than plants or landscapes. It was a challenge working with a four month old and finding a good way to shoot all three together. I think I captured some great shots and while I didn’t bring my white balance card I realize how much I should have used it. These photos were edited, especially the one in front of the barn because it had a blue tint to it. I was worried the snow would make the photos too gray and was definitely wrong but it’s all about learning. And that’s one of the reasons why I share these photos, so I can look back at my progress and maybe so you can learn too as you follow along. What’s most important is our friends were very happy with their family photos!
