Winter Wonderland

This week we got hit with a lot of snow. It started Friday evening into Saturday afternoon with estimates between 8 and 10 inches. Then yesterday we had a winter weather advisory for freezing rain starting at 11 am, changing to snow, then changing to rain in the early hours, then back to snow. This kind of weather has a beautiful effect on the trees even if it means scraping ice and snow off your car, driving through half clear roads, and dealing with inexperienced drivers. Many people tend to look at the bad part of this weather (the last three things I mentioned) more than the beauty. But a couple of things to remember about why snow is beautiful: who needs a fireplace when you have no snow? Spring won’t have green grass without snow. Snow brings about all things hygge and if you don’t know what that is purchase The Little Book of Hygge. Snow gives us winter sports like skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, snow shoeing. And lastly one of my favorite things: snow and cold temperatures gives us good maple syrup. Hopefully this helps bring some beauty to your winter day!

Below are the photos I took outside today after our recent snowfall.

  1. Amazing photos thanks for sharing them 😊 I live in a part of the world where it doesn’t snow😢 it’s a desert where it’s always sunny, partially windy and one month winter lol Enjoy the snow ⛄📷✌
