Door County, Wisconsin

This year we took a trip to Door County, Wisconsin. While living in Milwaukee, WI we never made a trip up north to the peninsula despite all of the rave reviews we heard for the area. We went towards the end of September when the leaves hadn’t yet started to change but I imagine the area is beautiful when the fall colors are at their peak! There are so many small towns to explore along Lake Michigan and a couple of great parks along the way. We went to see a lighthouse at the Peninsula State Park and on the eastern side of the peninsula, drove to the tip of the peninsula to see the famous winding road, and saw an amazing sunset.
