It is definitely the season for pumpkin EVERYTHING. Ever since September 1st came around people have been craving pumpkin flavored food and drinks. A couple years ago I was certainly among those people, pumpkin spice lattes, the pumpkin jack o lantern snacks, pumpkin waffles, etc. This year I started hearing about it so early that I lost all desire for pumpkin flavor. I don’t drink lattes anymore- I believe the steamed milk irritates my stomach and I don’t have much of a desire for the other pumpkin flavored sweets. Also I’ve never really enjoyed pumpkin pie.
So this post is ironic because it’s about pumpkin rolls! I’ve wanted to learn how to make them because they seem complicated but they really aren’t. As long as you have your area set up and the icing for the inside of the roll prepped, things work smoothly. I made 12 with a friend and it didn’t take us long at all to get the process down like a science. When you eat the slices ice cold they taste like ice cream sandwiches.
This is probably the only pumpkin I’ll be eating this season and it’s delicious!
