Let’s talk about tortillas. Everyone can find them at the store and any kind: flour, corn, tomato, spinach, etc. Now let’s talk about how easy it is to make homemade tortillas. On a scale of 1 to 10? With 1 being easiest I would say a 2! If you’re familiar making dough then I would drop it to a 1. I didn’t use a tortilla press which is used with corn tortillas. I just used a rolling pin and rolled them out as thin as possible. Also I had coconut oil on hand so I used that but you can use vegetable oil otherwise.
Brown Eyed Baker’s blog comes through with another great recipe on the homemade tortillas. I froze 6 and have the other 6 in the fridge to use with an apple, cranberry, walnut chicken salad recipe and some fresh kale on the tortilla. Delicious! What a success!
