Cinnamon Raisin Bread

Last Friday I posted the Fab Five recipes I wanted to try over the weekend, and I wanted to try all but set a goal to try at least one and guess what? I did! Mike and I chose the Pioneer Woman’s Cinnamon Bread and added raisins to it because we both love cinnamon raisin bread. (By the way- in relation to my post earlier, cinnamon raisin bread makes really good French Toast!)

So the result: it turned out great! The bread was a little harder than the bread we buy at the supermarket but when you toast or warm it in the microwave and add some butter it’s delicious. I had some trouble keeping the bread from becoming wider than the loaf pan so I ended up cutting it in half and making two loaves.

I definitely should have added more raisins, I love them and always want more in the bread from the supermarket. Since I cut it in half lengthwise it didn’t get as high as Pioneer Woman’s but it still had that awesome swirl throughout. Next time I’ll try to keep it as one loaf.  :)

On another note I’ve decided to venture into the selling world on Etsy with my crochet baby hats. If you’re interested in buying one for you or someone you know who’s having a little one please check out my shop (RachelsYarnCreations)! I have listed a few hats and if things go well I will start making more and including different designs. Here are some of the designs:
