I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
After a long day of shopping yesterday (7 hours!) I’m taking it easy today. No fish fry review from Friday as I decided to take a week off while Mike is away. But I’ll be back to trying new fish fries this Friday!
The leopard shirt was $10 (with a $10 off coupon), the sweater was $13 (clearance at Express) and the shoes were $40 purchased at Nordstrom Rack which just opened. I also bought a Nike dry fit shirt for $15 ($10 off coupon) at Dick’s Sporting Goods as it just opened as well. Pretty great deals!
Also, I tried some new recipes throughout the week.
Next was a Cuban Citrus Spice Marinade for pork tenderloin. Mike and I enjoy the recipe from Michael Symon for pork tenderloin but were in the mood for something different. This hit the spot! It had spice but not too much and the citrus worked well with the spice and pork. Give it a try!
The last new adventure was a Pecan French Toast Casserole. I had leftover wheat bread that was super thin and used it to make this casserole. The wheat bread worked well because it helped make the casserole less sweet than using white bread or texas toast. The pecans were a great addition too!
Did you try anything new? Which recipe of these three will you try? Let me know what you think!
