Well the grilling just keeps getting better and better! We were rained out last night for our s’mores date due to Derecho making it’s way through Northern Illinois/Wisconsin but no need to worry about us! We had some thunderstorms but no tornado sightings here.
For day 4 of grilling week we bought two juicy ribeye steaks:
Now we don’t buy steaks like these every week but in honor of grilling week we had to indulge a little. :) The steaks were seasoned with McCormick’s Grill Mates Worcestershire Pub Burger. That’s it, nothing else, and that’s all the steaks needed. It was a new spice for us to try and it’s one that’s going to used very often from now on!
We had long grain wild rice and leftover corn with the steaks and it felt just like a home cooked meal despite being in a hotel with only one chair and one table/desk to eat on. This meal was so easy to prepare and so quick. The steaks only needed to cook for a few minutes on high heat because we both like them medium rare.
Now for the glorious dessert: S’mores! These are no ordinary s’mores, they are Reese S’mores! Rather than the traditional Hershey’s chocolate, graham cracker, and marshmallows, we swapped the Hershey’s chocolate for a Reese cup. I’m not sure where I came up with this idea but it’s the best one ever!
It’s nice to have peanut butter AND chocolate in the s’more. I think it might be even better to have two marshmallows instead of just one!
