It’s hard to believe the weekend is already over and I’m sad to see it end but I had a fantastic time with Mike and our friends in Pittsburgh! As planned, we stopped at Casa de Emanuel for some delicious Italian food and leftovers. Saturday we went to breakfast with my close friend Sarah Beth and then went to see my nephew for the first time and he’s adorable! Saturday night we went to see the Pirates play the Cincinnati Reds and sat in the company luxury suite! Then Sunday we finished the weekend off with a visit to my grandfather and lunch with our friends Jeff and Jess. Our trips to Pittsburgh are always go-go-go and this weekend was no different! I wanted to make sure we saw everyone when we were in town and that’s always hard to do but I don’t think we left anyone out!
Here are some pictures from the fabulous trip!
This is the agli olio chicken and red peppers I had at Casa de Emanuel and it was delicious!
I plan to recreate this dish at home one night and I don’t think it will be too difficult.
Sarah Beth and I have been friends since my senior year in high school (2005) and surprisingly we do not have any recent pictures since then so I made sure Mike took a recent photo of us! Here we are at Tim Horton’s; the coffee shop where I first started drinking coffee and became addicted! I’ll definitely miss Tim Horton’s when we move to Wisconsin!
After the Pirates game we walked down by the river and enjoyed the fireworks from the Roberto Clemente bridge. I’ve seen fireworks after a number of Pirates games and they never dissapoint! It was so cool to see the Pittsburgh skyline lit up at night! And the Pirates managed to beat the Reds 3-1 too!
