It’s a three day weekend me for me and I’m so happy! This weekend Mike and I will get to see my family and some of our close friends. Also we’re going to eat at one of our favorite restaurants, it’s East Liverpool, Ohio’s best kept secret, Casa De Emanuel. I have not had a better antipasta salad than their’s! It’s so cheap (I’m talking $30 for the two of us with salad, entrees, and drinks) and so delicious and you always leave with leftovers. Yum, yum, yum!
This week the temps were definitely the highest they have been and we noticed! My body hasn’t acclimated yet and 70 degrees is hot for me! Maybe I will like Wisconsin weather better than the hot and humid Ohio summers…
My make up skills can still use some help and I found this great tutorial on how to apply winged eyeliner. Let’s just say I’ve been doing it wrong all along!
I’ve been reading about Crossfit on some blogs and Mike’s talked about it and we’re planning to give Crossfit a try. My physical therapist said Crossfit would be a great workout for my IT Band Syndrome and plus it’s great workout for the entire body. Before we find a Crossfit group to join I think this 16 day workout will be great for a starting point!
I’m always looking for new recipes to make for potlucks and I think these Mini Spinach Dip Bread Bowls would be a great one!
#7: Corgi Cuteness
Oh how I wish I was cuddling with this fur ball everyday!
So pistachios are a healthy nut and dark chocolate has anti oxidants which means dark chocolate pistachio bark is healthy, right? Well the verdict might be out the health factor but I don’t care because it’s delicious!
I recently discovered this fashion blog and I can’t say how awesome it is! J finds her inspiration from magazines, runways, etc and recreates it and posts a picture along with wear she found everything. The best part is she buys everything at affordable stores like Target, Forever 21, Express, Loft, the list goes on.
#4: DIY Heart Patch Sweater
I had an inspiration for my grey cardigan when listening to the new song ‘Thrift Shop’ when he references ‘your grandpa’s style’ and I thought of my grandpa’s flying jacket. It is this really old, yellow jacket with sew on elbow patches and he wears it every time he flies. It’s pretty ugly but it has character and I thought it would be cool to put leather patches on the elbows of my cardigan or possibly something cute like this:
I recently purchased these belts from Aldo and these 5 ways to knot a braided belt will come in handy when wearing them!
With my new found love of grilled cheese and tomato soup I would to have these served as an appetizer at my wedding:
I’m excited for a fun weekend in the ‘burgh and going to a Pirates game!
