Happy Monday evening all!
Despite being sick for most of the weekend I had a pretty fantastic time. Mike had a great 5 mile run on Saturday and then we went to breakfast after and the farmer’s market as planned. We planned to cook homemade pizza that evening and found micro kale and gluten free pizza crust to try out. Both were fantastic! I love how gluten free food doesn’t taste any different from food with gluten. Mike made a version of BJ’s Brewhouse chicken pesto pizza with pesto sauce instead of red sauce, chicken, sun dried tomatoes and red onions.

Sunday we went and saw Oz and we loved it! It’s the prequel to Wizard of Oz and explains how Oz comes to power and I thought it was excellent. The flying monkey who becomes Oz’s friend was funny and cute. That evening we made the Cheeseburger Casserole from Friday’s Top Ten. Mike loved it and I loved the smell of the meat, onions, tomato paste, and mustard. It smelled like a cheeseburger! After we baked it the casserole was a little soupy and so that has me on the fence of whether I like it or love it. But I think the meat mixture would be great on a bun or over rice. So it deserves a second try!
