Hello all and Happy Friday! I swear this has been the longest week ever! Everyday I would wake up and think “it’s still not Friday?!” But alas we have made it to the day before the weekend. Mike and I have some ideas of things to do this weekend but nothing concrete yet. The good thing is no more moving (for now)! I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy this Friday’s top ten!
Omg! It’s a corgi topiary! This is at Amazon.com offices, how cool is that?
#9: Iowa Girl’s Apple Crisp
I made Iowa Girl’s apple crisp last night and I love this recipe! It’s so easy to make and I had all of the ingredients on hand. Mike and I are going to enjoy this with some Hagen Daz vanilla ice cream today, yum!!!
#8: Cajun Shrimp from Iowa Girl
Ok, so I pretty much love whatever Iowa Girl posts on her blog for recipes, they all look delicious and meet my requirements: yummy, small ingredient list, and easy to make. So now that it’s the Lenten season I abstain from meat on Friday’s and this will be tonight’s allstar dinner; Cajun Shrimp & Pasta.
#7: Stone Temple Pilots
I don’t know how many of you follow Stone Temple Pilots but this week they announced that Scott Leiland, lead vocalist, songwriter and founding member, was fired this week. In an interview with MTV he said he found out via the internet. How crappy is that? To find out you’re fired through the internet. Now I see on TMZ that it was a stunt to boost ticket sales. Come on guys, I like your music but don’t pull a publicity stunt to get more ticket sales because it’s not going to work!
#6: Ceramic Egg Crate Jewelry Holder
Young House Love had a great idea for organizing jewelry and I love it! Williams- Sonoma has this egg crate for $19.99 and I’m trying to determine if it’s worth it to use for my bracelets and small earrings…
#5: New boots!
These are my new boots! I found them online at DSW and they are awesome! A nice, stylish and comfy boot to throw on to run an errand or dress up with a cute top and skinny jeans!
I love the TV show Nashville. I like the characters, the story lines for each character and some drama along with lots of music. My favorite singer is Scarlett, the girl in the white dress on the right, she has an awesome voice. I like her voice better than Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) and Rayna’s (Connie Britton).
#3: Date Night Jar
I’ve seen this idea on pinterest and my friend Sarah Beth reminded me of it this week. You write down ideas for date nights on popsicle sticks and there 3 categories: dates that require planning and money, dates that are less expensive than the first and are in the area, and dates where you stay in and do something. Mike and are going to create our own date night jar this weekend and I’m so excited!
#2: St. Paddy’s Day Crafts
St. Paddy’s Day is coming up (16 days!) and if you like to do crafts here is a great site with 101 homemade St. Paddy’s Day Crafts. I’ve looked for other holiday craft ideas on the site and there are some good ones! Easy, simple ones with stuff you might already have lying around.
#1: Happy Birthday to my Mom!
Today is my mom’s birthday! This picture was taken last September when she married Paul. I know she’ll have a wonderful birthday because Paul treats her very well.
Have a great weekend everyone!
