Friday’s Top Ten 2.22.13

Happy Friday! Today was a fun morning in Ohio because we had freezing rain starting at 2:30 am. I know because it woke me up and usually, like 9 times out of 10, I don’t wake up for anything. I woke up thinking it was almost time to get ready for work and looked at my clock and saw it was 2:30! I don’t know how I thought it was time to get up when it was that early. There was a thin layer of ice all over my car windows this morning but the roads weren’t all that bad. But this weekend should be a nice one for my big move! I’m moving out of my apartment, hooray!

Have a good weekend everyone and I hope you enjoy today’s top ten!

#10: Dave Matthews Band

Dave Matthews Band annouced their summer tour this week and I can’t wait to see them again! Luckily DMB has decided to play at Alpine Valley, WI which isn’t too far from Milwaukee and it’s a 2 day show so Mike and I will get to go! Hopefully Marti can make it too, Marti and I have gone to see Dave together for the past two years, including a trip to Chicago for a 3 day concert.

#9: Charles & Charles Wine

Charles & Charles is the wine I’ve had at Wine Bistro both times I’ve been there and I really like it. It’s not a sweet red wine and Allison bought me a bottle while we were there last weekend so Mike and I plan to enjoy it this weekend! If you like red wine and can find it in your area I’d recommend it. It’s not too expensive and has bits of coffee, berry fruits, and chocolate.

#8: Homemade Oreos with Peanut Butter

O.M.G! Homemade oreos with peanut butter! These look awesome and easy to make! I love double stuff oreos with peanut butter but I would love to make my own oreos sometime. I’ve added this one to my Baking Bucket List.

#7: Creamy Tomato Orzo Soup

I have a confession to make. I did not have tomato soup and grilled cheese until like, 6 months ago. I know, I was deprived as a child and it was because my mom doesn’t like Campbell’s tomato soup. I’ve had grilled cheese plenty of times but never the heavenly combo of tomato soup and grilled cheese. And now I’m OBSESSED! I love trying tomato soup at restaurants (Wine Bistro has a really good one) and I like finding tomato soup recipes to try. Here’s a new one I found: Creamy tomato orzo soup.

#6: Shoes!

I found this adorable pink metallic cap toe shoe at Charming Charlie’s and surprisingly did not buy them. They were only $20 but the fit wasn’t perfect so I passed but I still think they are cute!

#5: Corgi Cuteness

It’s a corgi with pajama corgis! I love it!

#4: Chevron Chair by MZA Designs

I love the Chevron design and found this chair on Etsy. While it’s a bit out of my price range I think it’s a cool DIY project, possibly.

#3: High Heel Mystery Book set

I’ve been reading the High Heels Mystery Book set and I really like all the books. The books are about a shoe designer who designs shoes for little kids and has a shoe obsession and ends finding herself in tricky situations that sometimes hinder a homicide which her cop boyfriend is investigating. They are definitely ‘fluff’ books and easy reads but I have enjoyed them and bought another book in the series to read.

#2: Best Friends Infinity Ring

This is a really cool ring for best friends at Christmas or Birthday but it would also be a cool bridesmaid gift.

#1: Funny Kitchen Art

I was on Etsy quite a bit this week (obviously) and found this hilarious kitchen art. I totally think I could make this myself, add one to the DIY project list!
